Interchange format between Kotahi and OSF, Rogue Scholar

I have a very technical question as the result of just seeing a really cool use of Kotahi.

Because of limitations imposed by this forum, I’m replacing every “https://” with “web:”.

There is a preprint on OSF: doi:10.31730/osf.io/e57bq that has its full text in the full text tab on web:metaror.org/kotahi/articles/13/

I’m assuming there is an event where the data for the article text gets ingested by Kotahi. In what format is this data? Is it Manuscript Exchange Common Approach? is it JATS XML (if so what flavor)? Word? or something else?

Similarly, for the blog post web:upstream.force11.org/drinking-from-the-firehose/, the full text shows up on web:metaror.org/kotahi/articles/40/. In what format does the text (and image) of the blog post get transferred to or ingested by Kotahi?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @castedo,

At MetaROR we are still in a development phase, so all the full text displayed is still ingested manually. Usually we just ask the authors for the Word document and then copy/paste the content to Kotahi, making the necessary adjustments. Right now, Kotahi deals with the images automatically, uploading then and creating the links when inserted. However, an upgrade may become necessary, as we cannot organise or name images for easy mention or retrieval at this point.

Best,
